The 2011 Wiki Loves Monuments contest is now closed. We thank all participants to discover monuments in Belgium and Luxembourg. During the competition, 5813 photographs of Belgian monuments and 246 of Luxembourg monuments were made and uploaded.
  
All pictures will be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons under a [[w:en:Free content|free license]] in order to be available for any future usage. [[w:en:Wikimedia Commons|Wikimedia Commons]] is the online multimedia library, hosting for example all the illustration of all the Wikipedia in every language.

The jury will now tackle the difficult task of evaluating the contest entries to select the best fifteen photographs. The prizes will be divided between those fifteen images. And they will participate in the European phase of the competition, too.

During September, you have the possibility to upload as many pictures as you want of monuments you visited. The pictures don't have to be taken in September, but only files that are uploaded in September count in this contest. At the end of the contest, a jury will select the nicest pictures which best represent the object. Owners of the winning pictures will receive prizes and recognition during a celebration evening where all participants of the contest will be invited.

The 2011 Wiki Loves Monuments contest is now closed. We thank all participants to discover monuments in Belgium and Luxembourg. During the competition, 5813 photographs of Belgian monuments and 246 of Luxembourg monuments were made and uploaded.

The jury will now tackle the difficult task of evaluating the contest entries to select the best fifteen photographs. The prizes will be divided between those fifteen images. And they will participate in the European phase of the competition, too.
